Put your homes on Smitten

Smitten is where buyers around Dallas–Fort Worth flip through brand-new homes and keep the ones they'd live in. Every home on it links to the builder's own page, where your team takes it from there.

If you build in Dallas–Fort Worth and your homes aren't here, send us a feed: one JSON file at an https address you control, listing your communities and every home you have for sale. We read it every Tuesday morning.

Send us your feed

How it works

1. Publish the feed at an https URL, readable without signing in. Most builders generate it from the same system that runs their website.
2. Send us the URL with the contact form (choose “I'm a builder”). No feed yet? Send your website and we'll start there.
3. We check the file and write back with anything that needs fixing.
4. Your homes show up on Smitten after the next Tuesday read. From then on, new homes appear, price changes show, and homes you take out of the feed leave Smitten, every week.

The rules

• List only homes for sale now. When one sells, take it out of the feed; it leaves Smitten at the next read.
• price is what you advertise today. Smitten shows it as your price as of the read date and links to your page for the current one.
• Photos and descriptions must be yours, or ones you have the right to share. Smitten shows them with the listing and links back to your page; the images load from your servers.
• A home missing a required field is skipped, and the rest still list. If the file isn't valid JSON, or more than half its homes fail, Smitten keeps last week's homes until it's fixed.
• Up to 20 MB, 500 communities and 5,000 homes. Our reader's user agent includes +https://smitten.homes/builders, if your firewall needs to let it through.
